The AI core pilot can get 8 elite skills and due to their good shield stats you don‘t have to rely on hull tanking so you can take all the offensive and flux skills you need. You could try building them with 2 cyclone reapers, 3 large energies (usually plasma, you could put those omega large guns in, grav beams (or omega kinetic missiles) and pd lasers. It has 5 large slots, 3 of which are energy and 2 of which are synergy and a subsystem that teleports them so they can apply pressure or get out.

Without mods you can only handle one in your fleet at less than max CR, more would reduce AI ship CR further. It’s more of a brawler that can teleport. Speaking of which, the radiant is probably the best „speedy ship“ with forward pressure. However, their shields are bad and they get outperformed by radiants. It has broadsides, but if you build PD on one side and weapons on the other it will face the enemey with the gun side tip and can play pretty agressively with an AI captain. Lets you avoid EMR and the missile skill guilt free. Since we‘re talking about omega weapons, you could go for resonator missiles.

E.g DC means less need for ARU, armored weapon mounts complement it better. If you get a stat from a skill e.g repair speed it might be less important to also get it from a mod. PA and the resistant flux conduit make this a good ship for personal control if you actively vent. If you take BM, GI, OE, TA, CE as base and fit whatever else you can (PA, DC/IM, MS) you probably have a more reliable ship that doesn‘t suicide quite as often. If you go MS, i‘d really get the elite version.

Haven‘t tried DC, sounds good against plasma cannons and the odd missile that connects. Elite version works well with annihilators.Ĭombat endurance repairs gives valueable CR and repairs hull below 50% as elite skill.ĬE, IM, DC, PA, OE, TA assuming a level 6 agressive/reckless officer.

Missile spec makes your missiles stronger and more durable, also twice the amount. Also reduces EMP which is a must against remnants. Polarized armor seriously increases effective armor and venting (elite). You can tank like a brick but more range lets you tank when it matters rather than all the time.ĭamage Control & Impact Mitigation reduce damage taken and IM increases maneuverability aswell. Doesn’t matter much for AI captains as they rarely vent.īallistics mastery is just good for ballistics, gunnery implants stacks range with it and ITU. Venting doubles dissipation and +25% venting speed means 1.25*2=2.5 active venting. One way is the ordenance expertise skill, the other way is to target venting speed (elite polarized armor, RFC) and then actively vent. Having more range doesn‘t mean you have to be at max range all the time, but it makes it so enemies have a harder time kiting you and you can always comfortably fire at them. Personally, i‘d take heavy needlers instead of HVD.Įven a „killbrick“ should have decent range.

Here's the first version i have, what do you guys think? Yeah, the Flux dissipation is insane, but if i can get it to kill another ship, then vent it's flux as fast as possible - it shouldn't matter.ĭo you have the mod that adds collapsed cargo holds for extra armor? I‘d consider if yes. What skills are a priority for Omega weapon build onslaught? Of course, i'm going to add a captain to the ship. So i'm thinking of adding story points for: ATM don't wanna use Conquest, i already have a Paragon decked out with Cascade emitors that holds it's own against huge remnant fleets, but my Onslaught seems overly squishy when going up against radiants. I wanna build a brawler that has tons of frontal firepower and is capable of handling the high flux costs of the weapons in question. Hey, so i have an overabundance of Omega weapons, tons of story points, and an Onslaught XIV legion.
